After Germany’s defeat in WWII, the Nuremberg and later trials were organized primarily for political purposes rather than to dispense impartial justice. All of these people were highly respected and prominent in their field, at least until they spoke out against the trials.

The Judges made the law, prescribed the penalty, and enforced it. If it is to serve as a precedent for the future, it means that the officers of the defeated in war must be punished. Ex post facto law is prohibited by the British Magna Carta as well as by our Bill of Rights. It is contrary to justice and our Christian civilization. The mass trial was contrary to every principle of law and justice and Christian civilization. There is no precedent except the [Communist] Russian purge trials.

American attorney Warren Magee, who served as defense counsel in the Ministries Trial, thought the Nuremberg trials were extremely unjust. Magee wrote to Pope Pius XII:
We all know Jews suffered much under Hitler. We also know that Christian tenets of “humility, and charity which, together with the Church, have their source in the Heart of Christ” have no real place in the hearts of many Jews. “An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth” is the driving force behind the prosecutions at Nuremberg. While it grieves me to say this, the prosecution staff, its lawyers, research analysts, interpreters, clerks, etc. is largely Jewish. Many are Germans who fled their country and only recently took out American citizenship. Jewish influence was even apparent at the first trial, labeled the IMT. Atrocities against Jews are always stressed above all else…With persecuted Jews in the background directing the proceedings, the trials cannot be maintained in an objectivity aloof from vindictiveness, personal grievances, and racial desires for revenge…Basic principles have been disregarded by “new” Americans, many of whom have imbedded in their very beings European racial hatreds and prejudices.

John, this was likely not intended in your comment, but reading between the lines as to these “new” Americans, the Jews, leads me to opine that the turning point for the US was in the late 19th and early 20th centuries when the US welcomed millions of east European Jews as immigrants. These Jews really do have very foreign and alien values and ideas that are not compatible with true American values. If you study the history of the past 125 years in the US, you find that leading every revolution or destructive social movement were ethnic Jews. This is no exaggeration. Jews promoted communism, the sexual revolution, so-called multiculturalism, and hijacked feminism in the US (in the 1960s). They have worked hard to undermine Christianity in the US. All the various facets of what we would term liberalism or “progressivism” in the US have been pushed by ethnic Jews.
My lament is: if only, if only Jews could live in a host society and not be constantly working to undermine or subvert that society’s culture and values.

Benjamin Freedman was a Jewish American man who converted to Christianity and then exposed the Jewish makeup of Soviet Bolshevism in his famous 1961 speech (you can still listen to it on YouTube).
